This affected a large area in China. The Liaoning province suffered first. Cars couldn't move on the road. Thousands of people had to go to work on foot. Some cites water supply was cut off, cause the pipe was frozen. Shenyang airport had to be closed. Many buildings was completely damaged. Jilin and Heilongjiang province had the similar experience. The railway was blocked. Some cities suffered several hours blackout. In Shandong, at least 2 firemen died in the storm.

It snowed in Shandong Province. It's probably the coldest it's been all winter. It sucks. Buildings here aren't insulated well and they're made of concrete so it's like living in a refridgerator. The tiles on my apartment floor started popping since the concrete is contracting. The windows freeze on the inside of the building's hallway and our dorm ladies insist on opening the windows for "healthy, fresh air" and leave them open all freaking day. Anyway, I think other provinces got more snow than we did from the small bit of news I saw.
