When Jesus clearly says in the Gospel that those who believe in Him will never die.
If they are not dead, they are alive in Christ and can hear us and aid us.

They are face to face with God and totally conformed to His will and they only intercede and aid in what is God's will for us.

And of course they are millions more than those formally canonized by the Church on earth.

just because they are alive in heaven does not mean that there is communication between this world and that world. God wants us to go directly to HIM for aid - not "dead" Christians.

I would hope that they don't. Do some? I had not heard. This is pretty crazy since as Christians we all hope to live forever.

I don't believe that they can aid us in any way however physically. The only thing they can do in heaven is continue to intercede for us in prayer. Please be very careful how you express this concept because we do not wish our separated brethren who are in protestant churches to misunderstand or think we are involved in heresy.

There is a great divide from which no one can return but there is nothing in scripture that says that we cannot communicate with teh saints. In fact Moses and Elijah were permitted to come down on the mount of transfiguration.

Also, Lazarus and the rich man could communicate between heaven and hell.

FYI when a person asks for intercession from a saint they are not involved in any kind of worship of the saint, just like if they ask you for prayers they are not worshipping you.

Also, by canonizing saints the church is saying that they are people whose lives can be used as a good example in the faith, they are not denying that any of us could be saints when we die.

Saints are true followers of Christ. When Paul wrote to the saints in Corinth he was referring to the followers or members of the church. We should pray to God the Father in the name of his beloved son Jesus Christ. He is the only one we should worship.

All believers in Jesus are saints, not just the ones the Catholic Church wants to be. Only Jesus can bring us to Our Father. God helps us.

May God Bless you.

He is talking about spitural death not physical death. Saints are
physicaly dead but not spirturaly. Christ is the only mediator between you and god "No Other". Look in your bible and see if you can find another spirtural mediator besides christ.

I see where your coming from, but what He is saying is that the Saints that die physically, their soul and spirit are alive there with Him. A persons soul is a body with a form that houses the spirit. This soul has a form much like his physical body. This soul never dies.

Yes they are alive with Christ, but there is a chasm between us. Read Luke 16.

ALL who name JESUS CHRIST as their personal Savior, and actually MAINTAIN that walk with HIM....are also known as saints. People have misused, abused, mal-interpreted its meaning according to Christ' definition.

I am a saint.
Billy Graham is a saint....
u get it, I hope?

Not sure why they say that. There's a whole church full of us that aren't dead! :-)

I thought you meant Southampton. I'll admit they're not doing to well this season.
