+ Alpha and Omega +

Revelation 1:8 states:

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty."

Alpha is the fist letter of the Greek alphabet. Omega is the last letter.

God is revealing the truth that He (or She) is eternal. He has been here from before the beginning (the alpha) and will be here after the end (the omega).

God is also with us for every step along the way.

+ All Powerful +

We believe God is omnipotent or all powerful. This means that He can make something (or everything) out of nothing.

+ With love in Christ.

Some of these answers are hilarious, really cheered me up! I think he bought the materials flat pack from Ikea, and cos he had too much time on his hands he dragged it out over 7 days, promising Mrs God that it would be done by the end of the week, and that there was no reason at all to call in a pro-they cost a bloody fortune. By the Sunday he'd super glued Russia to his forehead, put a wonky nail through America (Florida?) kicked off his boots (Italy?), and set fire to the carpet with the glue gun (the sun?) He finally declared that he'd had enough, that it would take a bloody miracle to fix this mess, and that he was having a bru (Keep the sabbath day holy). He tried and tried to fix it, but it was impossible. Well after this kerfuffel Mrs God had had enough and ran off with the milk man, which is where Mary came in as a rebound. And there we have it, he created the universe.

God is the Uncreated Cause of all things. God created the universe from nothing. To create means to make from nothing. People transform things. Only God can truly create from nothing. God is God so He always was. He never changes. He is always the same. God created the universe. He is the First Cause of all things. He is the Unmoved mover. We make things from something. For example we make chairs from wood. This is not creation. Only God can create from nothing. He is the Creator.

In the beginning God created home depot, and God saw that it was good and friggin huge so he thought, he I bet I could create a universe outta this, and so he did, he arranged all the landscaping and raw materials on credit and on the 7th day the delivery was late so he did very little.

Any answer you get will sound like a cheap escape unless you already believe in God. The materials were always there He just organized them. (see it doesn't explain too much). God lives in infinity and eternity, those are things that mortals who think linearly can't understand.

God didn't create the Universe, God was made up by man on Earth, a tiny planet indistinguishable to thousands of others. The Universe is a BIG place, and we are not the only civilisation that exists in it, it would be arrogant to think that this god, -that we made up, created the Universe. The Universe doesn't need a creator.

The terms Beginning and End are human concepts and does not apply to the ream of God. In my opinion, God has no beginning or no end.
(Revelation 1:8) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
