Oooooh! What a cute dog!! I like her cute hair cut but she looks cute the other way too. If you live in a cold climate why not let her wear it long and then in the spring give her a hair cut but be careful not to cut to short. Light colored dogs can get sunburns and skin cancer if it's too short.

Your main concern should be about the comfort and health of your dog, not how he looks, when considering grooming options. The short haircut he's in looks to be a little too close for comfort (literally). I'd keep him clipped down fairly short for his comfort and your own easy-maintenance, but not THAT short. A dog should have a little more coat, ideally, to protect him from the elements (cold, wind, sun, etc).
Plus, I think he'd look adorable with about 1/2" to and inch of hair all over!
Good luck!

he is certainly cute without hair, so I am sure he is just as cute with some hair. You might want to consider that short of a cut in the summer ie: sunburn and in the winter: bbbbrrrrrrr
