You were forced to say I pledge allegiance to Allah.

Muslims forced you to not have the "title" of marriage because the Qu'ran says "marriage is between 2 muslims"....oh sure you can have the same rights, just dont' call yourself married because you are not.

well now you know how having religion forced on you would feel. Isn't this supposed to the land of the free? NOT the land of the free......As long as you are christian.

Hey, I wonder how they can get away with it every day. I have never said the pledge of alligeance. I've always stopped at "one nation" and sat down. Used to get me in trouble, it did, but there's no way someone can force me to say it.

1.) The Pledge fo Allegiance is to the FLAG, not to God. Besides, God can be to the Christian, Jewish, Muslim or any other God that 95% of Americans believe exists. Also, I don't know of any place in the USA where people are forced to say the pledge. School children may sit through it and be silent if they wish.

2) Muslim controlled countries do treat believers of other religions quite differently. They certainly would not accept homosexual marriages and would not offer civil unions either.

3) Religion is not forced upon anyone in this country. You can be Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Pagan, Atheist or anything else you want to call yourself!

There seems to be a lot of anger in your question. So sorry you feel that way.

Christians have been down that path many times. We will, I predict, respond in the same manner as we always have, to wit:, "I refuse. There is no god but God and Christ Jesus is His Son".
Christian marriage is in the eyes of God, NOT the eyes of man, therefore your civil rules are meaningless.

BTW, the U.S.A. is the land of the free, so far. You can be any religion that you wish, or none at all and the government will not force you to 'pledge allegiance' to any (unlike Islam whose book instructs them to kill the unbelievers).

i am christian.. and i totally agree with you. however.. when saying the pledge, to me, its not necessarily the christian God anymore, its YOUR higher power, although the country was founded on christianity.. back when church and state were not separate. (i still don't think they are separate)

and as far as gay marriage... i am christian and i personally do not believe homosexuality is right, but i also don't believe its wrong. if that makes sense. i believe everyone has the right to decide what is right for themselves.. and that is what our country is supposed to believe in. and i believe that whether you are homosexual or heterosexual you should be able to, under federal/state law have a MARRIAGE.. not just a union.. a marriage. i think the constitution is over due for some amendments. now, i do believe that any church or religious group has the right to deny performing the ceremony withing their church.. but not at the federal level. does that make sense?

i am a christian.. and i still don't feel this is the land of the FREE. its the land of the "MOST" free, considering the laws and condition of other countries. i'm grateful for the fact that we have as many freedoms as we do... but like i said.. the constitution is overdue for some changes.. as church and state are not fully separated.

honestly, i don't think they ever will be either, unless we get rid of all the right wing conservatives in office. (for the record.. i'm registered as independant party.. i don't like being defined by any one political group.. because i don't believe in exactly everything that any one group believes) but it seems as though the conservatives are the ones i disagree with most

and anyone who disagrees with my attention.. great... good for you, and you are entitled to your opinion... but this dude has a point... church and state remain united.... and those who are not christian, and do not live by christian morals are "punished by that"

i heard someone say "well in that case we couldn't make murder or rape illegal, because that could be infringing on someone's religion." and anyone can see thats a totally different situation. "what separates murder/rape from gay marriage?" they ask. "they are both a matter of holding everyone to set morals. so murder and rape should just be legal too if you think gay marriage is okay." and let me say... yeah.. rape and murder.. its not about morals.. its pretty clear those are wrong! but gay marriage... c'mon now.. its two people in love who want to spend their life together.. not one person raping another or killing another or somehow scarring that other person for life..

sorry.. i really went off on a rant there... rock on..your question rocks... and anyone who gives you crap.. don't worry about it...but just remember.. if you want them to be respectful of your position and beliefs.. respect theirs as well... tolerance will ultimately bring peace.

Please, my son, get off the Christians run everything idea. You are free to think, do, and act as you wish, but within, common sense laws. You can believe in no God. Allah. satan. Whatever.
But we, Christians are the majority at this time and until Atheists or Muslims, or Jews are the majority, we do have some right to impose our views. Not totally. But to some degree.

No one is telling you what to believe. No one is telling you who to marry. The only guideline as to marriage is one man and one woman. Please see above, (common sense laws). Course it would be interesting to see someone go to Iran and tell them that homosexual marriage should be legal. It least in our country we can talk about it, over there one would probably lose his head. And that is not even a joke.

Saying the words "Under God" is not forcing a religion on anyone. There is no religion at all in the Pledge of Allegiance. Where does saying "Under God" say "Christianity"? God has no religion . God is not a Christian. Religion is man made not God made.

My Dearest Muslim brother in Christ. I am sure you are not having the Christian religion forced on you. You are free to participate in your misguided religion as long as you care to. We only pray that you will somehow find your way to Jesus. We would never try and force you. May God bless.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard!!!

Take a lesson from the father of our country.

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great Pillars of human happiness.” George Washington.

Isn't Allah another word for God? Religion seems to be forced on the gay community being that they cannot have the same rights in this country that married heterosexual couples do.

The God people pledge of allegiance to isn't even the christian God it's the masonic God. Anyways, I wouldn't pledge of allegiance to Allah I would just sit in my seat I have that right. Instead of complaining about it, its that simple.
