If you broke it off, and you mean to stay by that, don't let yourself be swayed.

If you still think it can work and want to give it another shot, it's your call.

Nobody can answer that question for you.

The most important thing is that you are happy. A relationship is a two way street, it can't always be one persons way. If they think that is the way it should be, no matter if you have been with the person 5 years, 5 months or 5 days I would say leave. As time goes on, it is only going to get harder. If you both love each other and truly want to stay together, try out couples counseling. It has worked for a lot of people.

8. Don't Pull Your Love Out On me Baby : Hamilton / Joe Franks & Reynolds (okay it's kinda oppestie put it still tells the same meaning).
9. Say You Love Me : Fleetwood Mac
10. Miss You : The Rolling Stones
11. Peace Train : Cat Stevens
12. This Love : Maroon 5
13. Tell Her About It : Billy Joel

If music don't work then listen. If he really loved you, he won't push you to change your mind and resecpt you. Maybe he ain't that speical someone. If you let him go, than they're are others guys out there that you can choose from and by choosing, make sure y'all have something in common. I hope you'll be alright.

I think you made a wise decision. If you didn't love him, he wasn't worth it. Especially if you weren't happy. If he is that desperate to get you back, don't give in. Be strong and stand for yourself and yourself only. If he has attitude problems, that's his problem, not yours. I know you probable loved him a lot if you were with him for 5 years. But you weren't happy and no matter how much you like him, if you weren't happy, and if you're not happy, there is nothing to the relationship. My best advise is to just let him go and find someone else that truly loves you for who you are. I hope I helped, I'm young but all my friends say I have the best advise.

Good Luck!!!

Before you decide weather or not to take him back go out with some other people and see if your missing anything or could do better. After that if you think it could work out again the give him another chance. But first ask yourself if you are ready or even willing to change and if he can live up to that too. Think about will you be happy and in the long run is this going to be the best decision. Good Luck!

i was in a relationship for 8 years and i had to break it off. At some point i would like to know where our relationship was going. I waited almost a decade before i finally came to terms that we were just going to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Do you know why your unhappy? That could be it. Mabey you need a change or its time to move to the next step that has been long waiting.

Well I say that if you weren't happy for 5 years, why go back and be unhappy again when you can find someone else who will make you happy. Keep on going and don't look back. You deserve someone who will understand you and that will communicate with you to make the relationship work. Good Luck. *_*

If after 5 years you deceided it was time to part then you are probably right. After that much time you should "know" the person...its tough breaking up after a long time but it sounds like it was for the best...I'm sorry and good luck

Congratulations for not wasting any more time on him! If you're not happy, then get out. Tell him that you're not ready to be friends, and that you don't want to get back together. Ask him to respect you and leave you alone. If he doesn't, consider getting a restraining order.
