I bought a HP Pavilion about two months ago and I have been using it's DVD burner. The program that came with the computer is Sonic DigitalMedia. I don't like it though. Sometimes it claims it can't read my Blank DVD or I get errors and it won't copy. I have to change the options sometimes to get it to work but the same settings don't work with each blank disc, even if the blank disc are the same type. I need a program that will not give me any problems.

I hvae an HP and had the same software, and it was crap. I have a version of Pinnacle Sudio Media Suite that works wonders, however it isn't a free download, so be prepared to go buy the software bundle (since I'm sure you would never try to find a pirated version on a filesharing program such as Ares!)

Hope this works well for you...if you get the right version it also offers a DirectCopy option for quick copies of non-copywrited DVDs!
