Tiresome, endless question. Akin to what's the best art?
1) It depends on which karateka and which Kung Fu student.
2) An element of luck is always present - sometimes it's not the guy with the best technique, but the one who lands the first solid blow who wins.
3) Kung Fu is several martial arts, not just one. Karate also represents a whole bunch of schools.
4) The question: Which is the best martial art, yaddi, yaddi, yadda... Is tiresome and pointless. The best martial art is the one that best suits the person who wants to learn it. Arts don't compete, people do.

Impossible to reply correctly, no way can a match be made.
Karate is only 1 tool of an art, Samurai Combat, as Kung Fu styles can alreay be complete.
A full Karate Style once adding Ground Fighting is no longer Karate
And yes Whom Ever Has The Gun
Each Time Proven Over and Over Again

It does not matter what style of martial arts you study, to decide who is going to win, as they are all powerful, but most people study martial arts to better themselves, and to gain confidence so they do not have to fight, but can resolve issues non-violently, without fighting. Please do not compare the UFC, or any other tournaments to the martial arts, as those guys are trained fighters only, who studied martial art styles to fight only. These people are not martial artists, they are pro fighters, with one thing in mind, to win...............

the martial artist thats done both.being a martial artist isnt about what style would win and what style lose.
