To me this makes us males lacking. X Y genetics. Y would be x if not for the missing information

Your terminology is extremely flawed.

The XX and XY female/male chromosome pairs do contain differing amounts of information but nothing so dramatic as you claim, and this is only one pair out of 23 pairs.

Salahudi:

females can also be color blind, it's just a LOT more rare. The relevant punnet square:

Xc = X with colorblind
Xn = X with normal
Y = Y

Female x Male = Offpring distribution
XcXn x XcY = XcXc (color blind female), XnXc (carrier female), XcY (colorblind male), XnY (normal male).

If anything, it's not females who 'cannot', it's that 'males' cannot carry, they either express or do not express, but they cannot carry.

The Y gene is shorter than the X gene. This is the reason that only men can be color-blind, among other things.

no, men have an x and a y... women have two x's. Men aren't lacking anything, and neither are wimen.
