I've known this guy for six months and have been dating for about 3 months. We're not bf/gf just dating, you know hanging out and enjoying each others company. Well we've already had some heavy make out sessions and this past wkend everything was done but the actual deed s.e.x. He wanted to but I was just not ready and said no. I just recently lost my virginity to my x which we broke up 3-4 months ago and I'm just nervous about having sexual relations with someone already. Believe me when I say this guy is GREAT but I just keep thinking "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Then again after being in a 2yr relationship I myself am not looking for a bf/gf deal just yet, just someone to hang out. What do yo uguys think? And pls let me know whats the longest/shortest you've waitied to sleep with someone?

I think since you're coming out of a serious relationship, waiting is probably the best course of action. You don't want to wind up hooked on the "rebound" guy, right? Rather take it easy and say yes when you're ready.

I'm not a shining example--I think the longest I waited was a month and that's because I was a virgin. After that, the most I waited for a guy I really liked was about 3 days--it's so hard to hold out!
Anyway--good for you for asking! But, sex is fun, so you should go for it as long as you use protection. If you really like it and he does too--guess what? You'll probably do it again and again, etc. Don't worry about the cow and milk statement--you're not getting married right now are you? If this is only the 2nd time you've had sex, I HOPE you don't marry that soon! Try all that you want until you've found the greatest guy all around--he's attractive to you, he's attracted to you, you have great conversation, make each other laugh, can dicuss serious issues, AND you have fun in bed...

Do what you feel is right for you. As for me, I was set up on a blind date, and we hit it off so well. I did have sex with him that first night (I know... shame on me...lol) but were still together 15 years later and were happier than ever. And that saying about the cow....forget it. Sayings like that were created in the old days by parents to keep their daughters pure til marriage. It's 2007.... things have changed dramatically since then. Just listen to you heart and how you feel. Only you know when it's time. Good luck

I'm a virgin, and I will be until marriage. Don't just have sex to satisfy yourself. There's too many "good" guys out there to have sex with them all. Save yourself, girl! Have more respect for yourself. Don't have sex with him just to make sure that he really likes you. And no more hooking up either! If you're not bf/gf, then don't kiss him. Then he won't respect you. Just hold back on all physical contact and realize that life is ok without sex. I mean, I've waited for 17 years, and its been hard, but soooo worth it. Hope that helps. :)

I decrease of a female relating to the age of 26 who gave me a maximum evil glare. I stood and moved with the line for a jiffy and then found out that i replaced into the only male interior the line. i waited a year and didnt get any :( but then i found sum1 who i really love. i wuz her 1st time and it took me only 3 weeks :D we hav been 2gether 4 a year and everything is going great. trust me u need the s.e.x. my life would suck without it

i'm still waiting on the girl i'm dating now, been dating her since about september of last year. only you realy know when your ready, explain to the guy that your not avoiding it because you don't like him but just because your not comfortable yet.
