My entire life I've basically learned that in a relationship, THE GUY should be the one to say "I love you" first, no matter how you may feel. Especially if you REALLY do love him, it's a whole psychological thing I think. In my past relationship that was the case, but in this one....he seems to want me to say it first. He made a reference today about me "jumping". I'm definitely not a jumper! But I really do feel like I love him, though I don't want to rush things. It's only been 5 months, and I don't want to rush into something. I always felt that the faster you rush into something, the quicker it ends. I'm also afraid that he might turn away from me because he'll feel like his love is not returned, though he doesn't say it!
So what do you think Yahoo!? Say it or not?

i had a horrible month talking on the phone to my boyfriend and very nearly slipping and saying "i love you, sweet dreams" every night. i was afraid of the response, and especially over the phone...
while staying the next weekend with him and his family at their cottage, we finished off a bucket of margaritas and ended up, well... in the sack. my brilliant and inebriated self says to him, "can i tell you something that has nothing to do with sex or tequila?" and when i told him i loved him, he was thrilled. he hadn't said anything to me because he was afraid of scaring me...
it was worth the jump, for me. ...and just so you know, awkward moments like that can end up being your favorite times to reminisce about. we're married now, and even still, when we buy one of those buckets of margarita, we revert right back to that perfect awkward time...

I think you should not say it because your not really sure if he feels the same way about you and you dont want to get your heart broken so just ask him to rate you from 1 through 10 on how much he likes you 1 being not much, 10 meaning its love and 9 its almost love. it should work. Good luck!!!!

SAying I love you is, or at least SHOULD, be the last thing...I bet you show him in many other meaningful ways. Don't worry, saying it takes no effort at all. Don't be so worried, sit back relax and show him how you feel and when the time is right the words will just come out.

you want him to tell you first to say I love you how abut he want to you say it first... so that why none of you both say anything...
I have love my wife every day and I told her I love you when I leave and when I call her finished talking I say I love you and I come home telling her how much I love her .. and good night I say I love you... and I have said that every day.. and No plm.. my wife most of the time say it first or I say it first it depend on who first. or want to say.. if you think you want himt o tell you love you first then he won't because he think that you will tell him first.
I think you need to step back and look at what is missiing and what is great and bad about this guy and etc.. so now you know....

ask him: do you love me? then, it will make him say something first? or maybe have a romantic date and then ask him:'is there smth you want to tell me?' i dont really know. i have same experience as u did, i always wait until a guy says i love you first.

I never said it first..... but it is nothing wrong to say it just be smart tell him ......i lov u .... when he will be looking at u shock then say ....u don't have to answer ...u don't have to say anything in all i just want to say cause it is what i feel .i just want u to know...then u see what's going to happen .if he start play stupid ----GIRL u better look for someone who will lov u and can say IT.

you should definitly say it, i mean saying i love you isent a very big step in a relationship, it is one, but not a big one, and it would let him know that you do love him, and he will love you, i mean it has been 5 monthes, you should definitly say it soon, or then mayb it will end

I think that if you feel that you really love him than you should say it. But if you don't feel comfortable saying it than i think you should wait. You should just follow your Instincts.Good Luck!!

look same thing here ive been going out with my gf for 5 months now and she hasent told me that she love's me but you should not tell him cause your boyfriend should tell you thats what i did you know tell him how you feel?
