That's the big question.
Fundamentalists frequently mistake belief for knowledge.
It is great to believe things. We all believe things. But when you believe something based on faith (as fundie Xtians do) you can not possibly say it is The Truth. It is what you believe.
Don't pull any of this 'The Bible says it, and since the Bible is the Word of God it is true.' That, again, is based on something you believe. It is true for you: that's great. But it is not fact. It is not knowledge.
I have no problem with people believing any number of things. We humans can put a lot of faith into just about anything. But the minute someone tries to foist their faith onto the world as fact, that's when the wars begin.
Let's keep faith in the realm of faith, and fact in the realm of fact. The world will be a much happier, more peaceful place.

I believe, and even though knowledge is so tough to define, I know it - I argue it is a confident understanding.
My religion is taught by man, and has been manifested by God. He has revealed some of himself directly to mankind, without teachings of men.
I will always seek him, and pray that I don't become lazy / complacent in my faith, and that he reveal himself to me.
I'm an idiot, and fine with it.

I have read the Bible, and my conclusion is that I both believe and know that my beliefs are the true beliefs, for the Bible tells me so. The interesting thing about it is that Jesus was both man and God, so my beliefs are therefore manifested by God, even though they were said by someone who was also a man because Jesus' divine nature overruled His human nature, therefore making my beliefs manifested by God as Jesus spoke them into existence.

No religion tells the truth. I thought everone knew that by now. Still, there is some philosophy in religions that can be helpful.

I think all religions have a little truth in them. Especially that part about how all other religions are fake and their gods don't really exist.

Anyone who says they "know" their religion is truth is actually referring to belief with denial. Otherwise what does faith mean?
If I said I KNOW the world if flat, that does not make the world flat.

I know Jesus is the truth:
Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Anyone who "knows" their religion is the truth proves that they know nothing.
Oh my goodness... it is startling how much circular reasoning is being used to answer this question. Sigh. I believe in the lord of the rings because the lord of the rings says it happened. (and I feel elvish beyond a doubt, I just feel it inside me) Sigh again.
