I have a gummy smile and I hate it. I was looking up online about something called "gum contouring" but all the sites I went to were british. Have you or anyone you know had this done? Was is expensive? Did you have to go to a dentist who specializes in cosmetic dentistry?

oh yeah this is no problem! in my office i use a laser to remove a little gum tissue if we are talking just a little reshaping. that's usually just called a gingivectomy.

your central incisors are typically 8 mm wide and 10 mm tall. if you need 4 or more mm of tissue removed then you should consider going to a periodontist. all they do is work on gums and related procedures. that procedure is called crown lengthening.

if it's the first option then it's relatively pain free and not that expensive. if you need the second option then obviously it's a little more intense as far as discomfort and cost go.

google "cosmetic crown lengthening" and you'll get more info than you can imagine.

good luck.

Hillary Duff did not continually have horse teeth. She were given porcalin veneers, yet she were given too plenty artwork performed, so as it truly is why she seems all loopy. yet my answer is that i imagine gummy smile is worse. it truly is merely creepy searching. Horse teeth truly do no longer look that undesirable once you've fantastic white teeth. yet a gummy smile will cover even the most white teeth. i in my opinion became gazing elegance dentistry in the prevailing day on-line because i'd have some gum artwork (periodontal artwork) performed, and that i known at a fantastic style of images of gummy smiles and receeding teeth. truly, i think that when you've the money to get a captivating smile, that is a mind-blowing funding.
