The survival of western society. Islamofascism's goals are the destruction of western culture and world-wide islamic rule. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise has their eyes closed.

We definitely need to fight terrorists. But one mistake may be insisting it's a continuous war. Iraq is separate now: that's a WAR. Because there was an invasion, and no established peace. Now there are battles everyday, and it's largely for territory. Can't really call that terrorism anymore - those are warring factions with definite chances to take and hold ground.
Terrorists change up tactics by going for maximum psychological impact to make up for lack of power and numbers. The war on terrorism - makes it sound like an old school war with old ideas. It should be perceived as separate incidents, largely decided by when & where they want to attack. That way, more people will understand that PREVENTION is the name of the game: encouraging true democracy, true discussion, fair economic development at the right pace for each country, with social programs to match.

We are fighting to make Iraq a democratic nation. The leaders will call it a war against terrorism, but that war stopped when they changed the focus from getting the actual terrorists to going into Iraq and taking over.
Al quida and other such organizations are the terrorists, and until the last year or 2, they were mortal enemies of the Iraqi people. Now that we have stirred up the pot in Iraq, all of a sudden there are increased signs of terrorist harbored in Iraq that were not there before we entered, because a lot of the Iraqi people actually see the terrorists as the lesser of 2 evils at this point.
Huessein did not blow up the towers, so bringing him down did nothing to help stop terrorists, it just helped the government cover up the fact that they still have made no headway as far as capturing the real terrorists is concerned.

Most of us aren't fighting for anything. That's part of the problem.
We civilians aren't fighting the war. The soldiers are. And that's also why we've let Bush screw everything up so badly. We trusted him to do the right thing and he didn't.
In any case, what we are doing in Iraq is not fighting against terrorism. We are fighting against insurgents who are fighting a civil war against the Shite majority. It's not that different from Vietnam.
What we are doing in Afghanistan (and really where we should be fighting more) is fighting the Taliban and al-Qaeda, who are real terrorists and are increasingly gaining more power (just as the US was trying to pass the buck and leave the country!!!). Because of the screw-up of getting involved in Iraq and creating a civil war there, we don't have the capacity to really fight the real terrorists.

Oil, and the region that controls it....it would be nice to think the Nitwit in the White House has some sort of a solid idea why we're there. Our presence certainly hasn't lessened terrorism throughout the world....

We are not fighting against anything. Like the Vietnam war we are fighting for the military industrial complex.
No money can be made if there is no phantom to fight. 30 years from now, we will be waging a war in the middle Africa or Latin America against a new phantom threat.

this war is NOT about fighting terrorism...(that is such a joke.. it's unbelievable how many people believe that crap).. this war is about money and control....
I would tell all non believers whom have done absolutely no research and instead believe all B.S. spewed out by the mouths which are fed by the government... to check some websites out... and ask yourselves simple questions.. such as: IS THIS LOGICAL? and answer your own questions, honestly....you may be surprised how your opinion may change....
NWO, as another poster had mentioned.... is ultimate goal.
I say... wake up people.... THE NEXT 5 YEARS... YOU WILL SEE THINGS THAT YOU NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE... prepare....

Since 9/11 we've been fighting for freedom in a global community trying all it knows how to devolve into a community of kaos. The fight is against terrorism, but it's also against tyranny, and the forces opposed to freedom the world over.

Well one has to realize, all those we fight today, we created. We created Bin Ladin, we created Iraq and Saddam, we funded Iran, we have funded Afganistan, we created the Taliban, we helped create Hesbula. And anyone who doesn't believe it, just research government documents from the 1950=1975, its all there.
So how can we fight what we created?
Then look at the blue prints from government papers and how it shows a international oil pipe line in that region. Then get a current map of our bases and posts in those 2 countries, and realize they line up perfectly.
Then research how Saddam wouldn't raise his oil prices prior to 9/11 and it all so the oil companies could make more profit. Since we put him in power and he wouldn't do as we said, we invaded to take him out. We then shut off his oil production and the world saw a increase in oil prices and the big oil companies ranked in the larges profits they had ever seen. At the same time, Bush got on the boat w/ the big banner and said MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Yep, mission was done alright, to take over the oil fields again.
Iran war has been plotted for years, even prior to Bush taking office. He started working on that plane when he was Gov. of Texas still. That is why we are in Iraq and Afganistan, just happened to be a double bonus...oil fields and able to set up bases on both sides to attack Iran.
He wants war with Iran for that is about the only major country over there we don't have a puppet government in to control. We use to control them in the 1950's but not since the radical side has taken over.
Then look at who profits from all this "war on terror". Bush, Cheney and Bin Ladin family make over 10 million per day, yes per day on all this oil, war, arms, rebuilding, etc. EACH family makes that per day, not 10 million spilt up.
This is all just a cog in a wheel that is part of a larger picture that has people like Prince Charles, Rockefeller and many other top names people don't always hear about. This is part of the NWO plan to control the world, to put the entire globe under a King and peasant type of rule. Few are rich and do as they please, the rest are chipped, tracked and used as slave labor. More or less Hitlers dream but on a world wide scale.
I have done this research for the past year and have over 2000 yrs logged into it all. I have seen over 1000 vids and seen at least 300 web sites including over 500 gov. documents. Its unreal what is happening. And JFK being killed, is when it all started, that was the beginning point.
I could go on and on and on for hours on all this info, but just don't have the space. Alex Jones is a good guy, but be warned, he keeps the masses focused on 9/11 so they don't see the grander picture, like I and many others are starting to see.
9/11 was wrong, it was an inside job, plain and clear for anyone who does the research and not listen to clips from news organizations. For the TV is 100% fictional, if you believe it, you have been duped by the system. And that is what they want, for you to be a sheep.

I agree with Borat, "the war of terror"
You are fighting for nothing, and the saddest about it is that many lives have been lost, and will be lost if Bushy dont stop this nonsense war.
You are always fighting and fighting, let the world exist in peace, please!!! You killed Hussein, you've killed some Muslims, you've invaded a country, fine, you already got your revenge for 9/11, now just stop it, and get out of there.
You people believe you're doing some good to that country, you think it's in your power to install a new government, but it's not, they are an independent country from US, what else do you want?? I dont get it... They dont want Americans there
America have always believed it can fix the world by making war, and it's not possible, it's pitiful, because it's a great country, but it always wants more and more, it's never satisfied...

We're finally fighting back. Militant Islam declared war on us back during the Carter administration, continued through Reagan, Bush I, they did a lot of damage during Clinton's administration, culminating in 2001.
So we are fighting a mindset and fanaticism that demands that anyone who does not agree with them be killed.
I've been reading a lot of military sci fi lately and finished one yesterday written in 1991 that discussed militant Islam. The book was set in 2041....so we had been at war for 40 years. And they saw this back in 1991! I've read several books lately that were written in the early 1990s that went on this premise and frankly, its enough to make me livid that these authors (most of them former military themselves) saw it coming and our gov't ignored it!
