In 2002 I had my top teeth pulled and dentures put in. 5 months ago I noticed a tooth had broken though my skin and created a hole. Last week I went to the doctor with a terrible infection. I was put on 2 different antibiotics by Tuesday morning I was worse so i then called the ones that caused this, they were very rude and tried to get me to come in the next week, I told them I was on the verge of going to the hospital,,,they agreed to see me so I went, to find out 2 different roots were left in my mouth over 5 years ago...I was almost put in the hospital for the infection. the dentist put me on z-pack and told me to go to the emergency room if it got worst...Last Friday they did surgery (they said it would be free) to remove them and cut holes where x-rays were not even taken, they put stitches in my mouth, rushed me out the back door without telling my husband anything, lots more happened but no more room to tell, what should i do, it looks like they did exploritory surgery.

When we returned home I ask my husband to call them and see if stitches were put in, he did and they told him NO. Later I noticed I could not take out my dentures, they had to be glued, so I worked until I got them out and showed my husband and son the glue where the surgeon glued my teeth in, and that is when we noticed the stitches…at that point the dental office was closed so I had to wait until Monday morning to call the office back. And that is when they told me to come back tomorrow to remove them and they set the appointment for Tuesday. Later I called again and ask them why they charged my husband 80 dollars, they said for the 3 x-rays and for the exam, I told them I did not have an exam. To back up a little bit, since they were going to have me asleep and it was a different dentist but from the same office I figured I would get them to pull my bottom teeth and go to a different dentist in ***for my dentures, (they were cheaper there)…In the end I chickened out, no more room

In the end I paid $1080 for them to do it and then chickened out, they had hurt me way too much, so I figured they would give my husband back the money while I was in surgery , they did but not all of it, of course I had to pay for the 3 x-rays but now they are saying it was 50 dollars for the exam, an exam I never received and was never told it would cost…first they said they did not put stitches then I was told they did and to come in Tuesday to remove them then I was told not to come back tomorrow I would have to wait till Thursday,,,they also cut between my cheek and my gum where no tooth would be...and cut a hole where a tooth was removed when I was in high school...no one in that office knows what the other is doing and this has all caused me great pain, Im supposed to go back to them Thursday so they can look at my complaints of the surgery and to remove the stitches… my question is, SHOULD I DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS? so sorry this is so long, thank you!

I went back to them because I do not have ANY kind of insurance and it was going to be a different dentist.

Rushed you out the back door? Did you call the American Dental Association? When you had such a bad time with them to begin with, why did you let them do surgery? Why didn't you find another dentist? If they CAUSED this problem, why on earth would you go back to them? Even if they promised FREE?? You get what you pay for.

Boy. You are right, that was long.
Sounds like you liked that dentist so much that you kept going back. Don't forget to tell your lawyer that.
