Well i will be turning 17 in June but i still don't have any girlfriend.
No first kiss, nothing. I think most of the girls talk behind my back about me, but ,i also think that their view about me is that i am too innocent,honest and busy in my studies and interests to have a girl friend. Sometimes i feel miserable about me and i think any good girl will do to open my account. That is why keep on thinking about girls in my school etc who i would like to be my first gf and thus i am daydreaming about my virtual imaginative relation and i can't even concentrate on my studies.
I am in deep trouble. Plz tell me where to go, what to do, what to think?
I should also state that most of the girls think that i am very intelligent boy, i know a lot of stuff, i am very honest, and i don't talk to anyone.
I also know that most of the girls talk good things behind my back.
I also had a good indication abt an year ago that a girl was interested in me but she is gone now.

I think, like most people in high school, that you are way to focused on what other people think or might be saying. I'm glad you feel you have a good reputation, but stop worrying about others so much.
As for not having a girlfriend - you're only 16 - tons of people, including the ones all around you every day, don't have a significant other. You seem to think you're the only one who hasn't kissed a girl. Believe me - there are tons of guys around you haven't kissed anyone - and if they say they have, they're lying!
I know nothing anyone says will make you feel better, but why don't you give yourself some time to grow up - focus on your studies, and the girls will come later.
If you're worried, and want to socialize more, try going to a basketball game or football game with a friend. Talk to girls in your class about homework - eventually you (and they) will get comfortable with one another, and you can talk about other things. Join a group in school, or an after school club.
Really, I'm not sure what else to suggest - but believe me when I say that everyone in high school is worried about what everyone else is thinking of them, how they look, and how they can get someone else to like them!

I was 17 before I had my first boyfriend. It bothered me sometimes, but it's not too big a deal.
Try expanding your horizons a bit. Get involved with something in the community or through the school. Maybe the reason you haven't dated is because people may view you as quiet and introverted, possibly even antisocial (that's probably how I was viewed around my school for a long time). Find ways of getting to know as many people as possible. Eventually, people will begin to get to know you more, and you'll find someone who will like you for who you are.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't get my first boyfriend until I was 18, first kiss, anything, and even then, he was more of a girl then I am.
I hate to say it to you, but at this age girls aren't going to be the one to ask you out, trust me on that one. If you're interested in a girl, take a dive and ask her out. Thats the only way you're going to get a girlfriend is if you ask someone. Don't be shy.
And if you get turned down, no worries, thats why you get back on that pony and try again. But you've gotta ask first. Again, trust me on this, chicks this age wont ask you out first.

Well, here is what you decide... whats more important. Girls, or studies? its perfectly normal if you want to focus on studies, but you cant be thinkin about girls all the time.
