Beautifully put, that is my point, I work in the science field and I still believe and know in my heart that there is Someone greater than I. It is purely ignorant to think that if it can be explained then God must not exist. God bless you always, Gus.

Your first sentence after your initial question makes no sense, but let's see if I get what you tried to ask.

You may cherry pick your beliefs as you like. However, most find it difficult to both believe the Bible and to believe what evidence shows for evolution and cosmology.

Humans have not been around for only 6,000 years. The earth was not here before the stars. Insects have six legs, not four. Pi does not = 3, but 3.14159... Bats are not birds.

The Bible has scientific mistakes and contradictions. Therefore, you can ignore science and logic, or you can believe.

If you admit the Bible is fallible but you still believe, you need to ask yourself how you know what is truth and what is not in your book when so much of it is clearly mistaken.

I'll ignore your rambling and answer the initial question...

Christians believe that God created man and all. Science shows the items (no matter how small) that God used. He's allowing us small insight into his plan, but we try to rush and fill in the holes of the universe with hypothesis and limited views.

People can yammer all day about how the solar system came to be because of a star explosion, but they can never answer who made that initial star. The answer- Gen. 1:1

Case close.

And what evidence do you have that "HE" simply created us? There is no evidence of any kind that "HE" did any such thing...

See, it's like this: science doesn't care one whit about religion. It's not pro-religion, it's not anti-religion: IT DOESN'T CARE. Because religion deals in superstition, myth, "faith" -- things for which there is no evidence (and in most cases there can't even BE any evidence). If it can't be proven correct by the evidence, or proven false by the evidence, science doesn't care.

Religion, on the other hand, cares a *great deal* about science...because they don't want anything challenging their superstitions and myths. They want to keep their followers ignorant and in line. They do everything they can to prevent knowledge from being disseminated freely. It's been happening for thousands of years: Galileo, Copernicus, Newton, Darwin -- these and thousands of other scientists searched only for knowledge, and found it -- but were slammed by religion because their knowledge "went against christian faith and tradition."

Christians don't want to let facts get in the way of a good superstitious fairy tale. So they fight the method that doesn't care about their superstitions and only seeks true knowledge: science.

It's only a matter of time until every single one of the superstitions religions claim to be true are proven wrong. Unfortunately, until then, they'll continue to tilt at windmills, and make the world a worse place by doing so. What a waste of the only life they'll ever have...:(

I agree. One has nothing to do with the other on proving the other wrong or right. I like science, it was one of favorite subjects in school. If anything, it helped me to appreciate God's intricate designs of life and it's mysteries.

All science if from God.... Science is what God put in place to control the functions of this universe... thus, all science is good... it is mankind's mucking about with God's Science that is the cause of so much of mankind's problems.... man only knows less thatn 1% of God's science... If mankind knew even 10% all of mankind would be living in peace and plenty as God intended.

True that. Though I think religion and science should support each other (they're both after the truth after all), too many people try to disprove the bible with science, which is really funny because religion is mostly spiritual and science is mostly physical, and you can't disprove the spiritual with the physical because they're on completely different planes.

Well nothing. It is just that science occasionally finds things that disagree with the Bible.
