I scared her away by being a little pushy on the first date. Not only did she say I was pushy on the date getting the kiss (what did she think we where going back to my place for, she has been on enough dates to know something is gonna happen, she even said I don't usually do this which means she knew something was up right??) but she gave it as the reason she was avoiding a second date. She is a religious girl (born again...SEVERAL times...)and said for the past year in her life has managed to keep her promise to God and said she doesn't trust herself around me. I told her not to worry that I won't let her cross that line. So now we are going out again. Thing is, I am not really sure what would constitute pushy at this point. I know she likes kissing me (after me trying a few times, she actually kissed me first!!), but she had said that she doesn't kiss on the first date, and then later said not until in a relationship. I don't want to scare her away, but I don't want to...

be the nice guy who turns into her friend either.
I think she is worried that since she gave into my advances/her urges on the first date that she will cross that line again and break her promise to God again.
So I told her I won't let that happen but how do I know she is ready to make out??? I don't want to turn into her buddy.
