I live on a ranch and I already have 4 dogs 1 mastiff,
1 mixed terrier, 1 border collie. I wanna another dog what kind should I get???. I have experience with all kinds of dogs.

Depends on what you are looking for in a dog. The ones you already have are each very different, so you should have an idea of what type you prefer. I would think with that type of variety, you should just go to the animal shelter and find one with a personality you like, since you don't seem to be too particular about the breed!

It really depends what kind of traits you want in a dog. Do you want the dog to be big or small, laid-back or energetic? You definitely need to get a dog that will get along well with all other dogs.
Instead of purchasing a purebred from a breeder, I recommend going to an animal shelter and finding a really good-tempered mutt. The shelter staff can help you select one that will work well with your lifestyle.

I greatly recommend Weimaraner, especially if you live on a ranch and they do get along with other dogs very well, but if you're not sure you can go to www.akc.org and search for a dog you'll like there.Good luck :-)

There are personality profiles that you can take to see what kind of dog you should have. I don't know where you would find them but I have seen them in magazines so I know they exist. Maybe try the net. Mine said I should have a boxer and that is actually my favorite breed. Maybe it is coincidence but I was happy with the results.

Don't you think 4 is enough? Do you have enough money to feed them all or enough time?
If you really want another dog and have thought about it, I would say a Pit Bull, they're a great breed of dog but do require a bit more training..

I say go to your local shelter and pick out a mixed breed there. I have had better luck (health wise) with the mix breed pets then I have had with purebreeds.
