Pinot gris or chenin blancs or gewurztraminers or reislings some other grapes originating in germantic Europe are at their best (to my experience so far) in wines grown in the Okanagan Valley appellation of British Columbia, Canada. Absolutely delicious!

Otherwise, having homes in two cities renowned for seafood I really do not think one can do better than enjoying a crisp, young, fragrant Portuguese vinho verde or a Roman frascati or a light white from Catalonian Tarragona.

I also like the ones you've mentioned, along with Arniston Bay and for a treat or a bottle to take to someone's house I like Ernst and Julio Gallo Turning Leaf Chardonnay.
