This one girl who I like usually calls me but yesterday she stopped calling me it seems like. Is she playing hard to get or giving me the message that she just wants to be friends?

if it was just one day, she could be busy. but if it's been less and less over a period of time, then she's not interested anymore.

Sorry, How many days have gone by since she called you?
I can only imagine that if she calls you and you obviously talk to her then she likes you, to what extent I don't know since you didn't tell us how she got your number nor did you tell us if you initially met her by asking her out?
If she didn't call you yesterday she may have been at a friends house, family reunion or watching something more exciting than you!!! Who really knows but if I was you I would call her instead so that you can really let her know how much you miss her!!

I don't think you should be basing your judgment of the situation on the fact that she did not call you one day.
If you have been talking on the phone daily, then it could be a sign of attraction on her part. If she didn't call you yesterday, it could've been for a myriad of reasons not related to you.
Just wait to make any kind of decision.

She may have had something to do and when she was ready to phone it could have been too late. Give her the change to explain to you.
