Is there going to be something like a Judgement Day or something. What happens afterwards?

Or will Jesus just arrive and settle down in some part of the world?

When Jesus comes back everyeye will see him. He will come on a white horse as a King and with a word He will distroy the armies that have come against Him. Then there will be Judgement Day....and then we(the saints) will rule with Him for a thousand years.

According to scriptures Jesus return will be invisible. That's why his disciples ask him privately when would he be in his presence or Greek> parosias ? Mathew 24:3. We were to recognize he was here by the signs that he talked about: in Mathew 24:3-14.
When the great day of judgment comes those people that recognized and did act upon all the other things that Jesus commanded them, Then his father promised those ones will be protected in those days. To gain that protection all a person needs to do is this : John 17:3.
Others talked about that last days 2 Tim 3:1-5, Zeph 2:3,Mathew 24:37-39. Mark 13:4, Luke 21:25-32

Most of what you will read are pre-millennial views: the view that Christ's return will usher in a future millennium of Messianic rule mentioned in the book of Revelation before the final judgment. The believers of this doctrine also hold to the notion of a Rapture of the righteous beforehand.

Others hold that there will be only one second coming of Christ, at the time of the Final Judgment.

Then there are mixtures involving the views of the seven year tribulation and whether it is happening now, will happen later, etc.

These doctrines all fall under the general heading known as the study of end times, or eschatology.

Personally, I am an orthodox preterist.

Paul's letters to the Corinthians and the Thessalonians, and John's writings in Revelation, answers this question. the Lord returns amid loud trumpeting and the sky peeling back. Those who were believers but had died are resurrected from their graves and then given immortality and an incorruptible body. Those who are believers and are alive are then immediately caught up with the resurrected. Those who are not believers (or true believers) are "slain by the brightness of his coming." (Jeremiah describes the bodies of the unbelievers as littering the earth from end to end with no one around to bury them) The saved remain in heaven for 1,000 years while Satan is trapped on earth with no one to tempt. At the end of the 1,000 years, the wicked are resurrected, war is waged against God, and God destroys the wicked, heaven, and earth with fire, thus recreating heaven and earth sans sinners.

Christs return will be a time of judgement on unbelievers. And when Jesus returns all believers will be resurrected in new bodies.
