Im in the process of hiring a photographer for my wedding on May and i was wondering if I have to pay for their food at the wedding? They are pretty expensive and i do not feel like paying 80 dollars for the food but i dont want them to starve at the wedding either? What should i do?

If you are going to have your photographer just take pics during the wedding, then you do not necessarily need to buy them a plate....although it would be a nice gesture. If you are having the photographer take pictures during the ceremony and throughout the reception, ask them if they normally eat at the reception or if they eat after, then go from there.

Usually reception sites have a special meal for your service providers. It usually only costs about $20 and is something like chicken fingers a sandwich or something easy and inexpensive. But its a nice gesture to feed your phtographers and DJ as well.

If they are just doing it for the ceremony and part of the reception, then I would say no. My photographer will be taking my getting ready pics, posed pics, ceremony pis, and reception pics; therefore, I am going pay for them to eat too

My mother is a wedding photographer and she always apreciated it when people bought her a meal but she never expects it. And if they do give her a meal she has to eat in the kitchen away from guests.

i think it all depends on how long you have hired them for. if they are going to be there from the beginning of the ceremony to the end of the reception, yes you should consider it. and if anything ask the photographer what is customarily done...GOOD LUCK!!
