I do not pray and fast as most nominal muslims do.Infact I pray Fast and behave like the Quran says. Has any one thought how the past prophets prayed and fasted. I am bold enough to opt out of steroetyped islam and do just what the Quran says. Please dont post a reply if you are Sunni or Shia.

If you don't wont any Sunni or shia to post a reply then don't ask any Muslim to answer your question because no one will be amuslim if he is not a Sunni .

That's interesting. I found a website that you might like to read. Read the introduction part. It talks about the Quran being the only hadith.

God calls His book, the Quran, the BEST HADITH. HE called on His true believers to accept no other hadiths as a source of this perfect religion . See 7:185, 31:6, 39:23, 45:6, and 77:50.

I had thought about that before. The Quran is from God, while the hadith are from men. So logically, we should follow the word of Allah and not from men. Good thinking from you. BTW, I'm a Muslim.

Good Statement on your part...
I recently converted to Islam, and I only follow what is written in the Quran. I believe that the Hadith could/may have been changed in many ways...
What is written in the Quran, I feel and Know is 100% from God.
What I hear many of these "Muslim Leaders" today speaking of and saying what is written in the Quran and what not, I find disgraceful. It's a shame that there are so many Muslims that don't actually read the Quran, but instead choose to listen to what other people are saying and follow that instead....

As Salam Alakium
Allow me to show you are correct - You are on the straight path! The Quran is to be followed. Alhamdullilah! All is written in the Quran how they prayed fasted and all other things in life. All can be found there! How Merciful and Gracious Allah is to all things at all times! Alhamdulillah!
Allah Hafiz!

Although I am sunni but I will answer you. If you revert to teh quran it always says "believe in Allah AND his prohet" and "He (referring to teh Prohet) does not speak non-sense it is all through Gabriel. I know there are some minor incorrect hadiths but this is the beauty of Islam it is easy to figure them out because they are not logic and acceptable to the mind. Please be a true Muslim at heart the first pillar of Islam is the shahada "la elaha ela allah Muhamed rasul allah" and not la ellah ela allah only. Let us unite as muslims and act as one and not be stranded by our strange ideologies.
