Ok - I have a neurological disorder and have had a lot of constipation in the past. I'm currently on meds and doing MUCH better but sometimes still have a bit of blood with stool and stool is longer and narrower than normal. I have an appointment in May. Do you think this is cause for concern - blood was seen when I had constipation and maybe I just have a fissure that bleeds sometimes - I don't know - but now the shape is different too.

If the blood is only showing up on the outside of the stool, it could be from tearing when you went. If blood is IN the stool, then you need to call your doctor. My daughter is like you with neuro problems and a bowel problem since she was 9 mo. old; now 18 yrs old. she also has problems with irregular shaped stool and bleeding from going. Doctor put her on Glycolax powder that you mix 1 x daily with any beverage (8 oz). She goes pretty regular now; daily or every other day without problems.

There are some bile exciters - help produce bile - which in turn will produce an exceptional peristaltic stream. this could be espresso, olive oil. the project is that - with the affluence of nutrition accessible - there are not any healthful alternatives. The nutrition we devour at present's charged with chemical components which basically reason to be there is to guarantee the size of the holiday to the keep and supply shelf existence, so which you're able to desire to purchase and that they make income. God knows what you will possibly have ingested...Write each and every little thing you took, and then study it. provide up ingestion of commonly used meals for a pair of days - changing it with the main "easy" of all; vegetables, potatoes, all very easy. See what happens. get rid of all irritants (spices, sauces, fried stuff, etc). Take basically water, or tea; no espresso.

I have had the narrowing too but I have scoliosis of the spine and when my lower back is especially painful, I'm not surprised by anything anymore. If the blood is bright red you probably have a fissure rather than a major problem.
