No, but it is a big part of life. If it were the meaning of life, that would mean that those who remain celibate never know what life is about, and that would not be true.

If love between a man and a woman is the meaning of life, then humans are endowed with a superfluous amount of brain power. I don't know what the meaning of life is, but if it is simply to find a mate and have children, then it makes the intelligence that separates us from the animals unnecessary.
