WAS female, but male took over.
Could it be unisex ? the old hermaphrodite ?
By the way the name of the god of the Arabs is a feminine word, with the ending: -aH! which is for all the feminine form of arabic words.

The Judeo-Christian God is called "He" because Yahweh, the Israelite tribal God from whom He evolved, was a male deity. (There were many Gods and Goddesses worshipped in that part of the world at the time.) The male pronoun has been grandfathered in ever since. ;-)
Personally I believe that the Divine is beyond gender, but human beings, interpreting that fundamentally incomprehensible entity in human terms, usually feel most comfortable relating to the Divine as He or She. As far as I'm concerned, you can call the Divine what you like. It remains the Divine.
There are plenty of religions that honor the feminine face of the Divine -- the Goddess. Hinduism comes to mind; so does Wicca, or almost any of the other Neo-Pagan faiths. The Goddess is alive and well, and worshipped today as aspects of Her have been worshipped throughout human history. Did you know one of the earliest recorded religious writings was a hymn to the Goddess Inanna?

He is neither, he is spirit. We were not created in Gods image. Adam was created in His image but he fell and lost that image. Gen 5:2 says we were created in the image of Seth which is a fallen image. Jesus gave his life to restore the spiritual image.
There will be neither male nor female in heaven. The genders were for this life only not in eternity.

He is not man or woman! You see you must first know world culture to know that what we consider to be feminine to the woman other cultures consider this to be the masculine to be woman so you must first not confuse our culture as proper just the way we do things.
Also for your kind information power do not nor shall ever equate to masculinity! Power is - The strong, with endurance will and might!!
Not male or female for we adjust to the culture and learned behavior.

God is a male. We are created in HIS image as it says in the Bible, not in her image.. Second, He created man in His image, meaning Adam. He took woman from man (when He took a rib from Adam to create woman).
Don't misconstrue love and compassion withe femininity. God is love. And He is perfect. :) Hope this helped!

He has no gender. He's not male. He's not female. We refer to Him as masculine for cultural reasons. We are created in His image, not Him in one of the genders of ours.

God has no sex. It was due to the absent of a word in the English language to describe unisex, the translators used male as the foundations.

He did say,"let us make MAN in OUR image(he and jesus) so I would say the power and strength is like unto man--but God is a spirit, so He doesn't have the physical appearance in body form--except thru his son Jesus.
