I know that there is that sensitive issue of depicting Muhammad, but I remember reading bible comics as a kid. I often thought that comics are a good tool for teaching boys stories, I wonder though if if would be acceptable to islam though.

No. Any depiction of mohammed is forbidden. Notice that there are no images in mosques, only geometric patterns, whilst churches are full of them. A Koran comic sounds like a good idea, and I personally have no problem with it, but there would be a serious backlash.

I asked my Husband the same Question awhile ago! When I was a kid, I remember reading the Bible, that had pictures in it and it was really nice! It was a Kids Bible with Pictures! Fantastic Idea!
I wanted to do the same thing with the Quran (Something to have to teach my children!) And my Husband (Who Is Muslim) Said it would be something really bad, and that we can't draw pictures of Mohammed as we don't know what he looked like, and we also can't draw pictures of God...Hmmm...
I think it is a FANTASTIC Idea! If I saw them I would Definetely Buy them to teach my children while they were young....!
P.S. I guess you couldn't really sell them though, then you'd be making money off of Gods word....Right??

It would technically be wrong. There should be no pictures depicting Muhammad (pbuh) because it is a form of idolatry. And while I agree that it would be easier for boys to learn through something they can relate to, it's still wrong.

muslim art is often very careful not to represent even ordinary people. It would probably not go down very well.
