I've had this happen before a couple times ...
I think...
1) Some girls like the hunt, too.
2) Aloof + uninterested = cool.
3) Good-looking girls are used to being chased by guys... so when a guy acts aloof & uninterested, this guy automatically becomes "special" "different" and "not like other guys", so it piques their interest... inside, they may also be thinking, "Why doesn't he like me? What doesn't he NOT see in me? Aren't I beatiful?"
Perhaps this is also one reason why that saying is often true: "Love comes to you when you stop looking for it..."

It always happens that way bro. When you're not interested, they want you. But when you want them they're not interested. I think that girls just like a guy who will give them a challenge or something interesting to work for. Women are strange creatures. Just work it out...

It's an ego thing.
In their minds they have to have you if you dont want them becuase their self esteem is under assualt when you show no interest.
