A man walks into a morgue to see a dead man. The mortician says "I'm sorry, only family members are allowed to see the deceased". To which the man replies, "I am related to this man and I must see him". The mortician asks how the man is related and the guy answers; "brothers and sisters, I have none, but this guys father is my fathers son." The man is allowed to see the deceased. I`m afraid you asked the riddle wrong,this riddle is an old classic and in its original form it goes :-A man points to a portrait on the wall and says to his friend "Brothers and sisters have I none but that mans father is my fathers son",who is the picture of?- and the answer was that it was the portrait of the man who was asking.It doesn`t work with morgue because the man who wants to see the deceased would also BE the deceased.

...it's just that having some guy answer you in verse at a morgue freaked the mortician out, so he let him in.

It's his nephew. But he would still have a half brother. So either you told it wrong, or I missed something.
