I'm thinking about taking my boyfriend here for our one year anniversary but I know it is supposed to be pricey... My question is how pricey? What's good? Could a couple eat there for around $35 or about how much would it be without any appetizers or alcoholic drinks? Thanks!

I'm talking about the one in Mountain Brook, AL or there abouts.

It's a celebration. Let cost be no object (it's not *too* expensive!).

While you're there, you've GOT to try the onion rings. Coconut breaded, fried to perfection and HUGE. Served with a really good mango sauce.

EDIT: Alabama...Hmm...Good luck. I've been to several BB's in Orlando and Miami, and everything's always been good. However, I went to the one just outside of Atlanta, and it was only so-so.

I'm guessing that the quality of the dining experience, as well as the food, depends on the skill of the local labor pool. With Florida being such a tourist destination, we've got a whole lot of skilled and experienced cooks, bartenders and servers. The level of competition in Florida's hospitality industry is so intense that it's rare to have a bad night out at restaurants like this.

I don't know what things are like in Alabama, but I'm sure that if you don't have a great dinner at Bahama Breeze, it will at least be better than average.

It's not overly pricey. $35 might feed you if you just ate a main course and no appetizers or alcohol. It's really good though. I'm sure you would enjoy yourselves. I would try to budget a little more cash flow... the alcoholic drinks are to die for. Very good appetizers as well.

I wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant, but that's just based on one visit. I don't know what you're schedule's like, but you could probably save a bit of money (or have an extra course) if you chose to go for lunch. They have both the lunch and dinner menus at their website, but no prices are listed.
