I have my engagement ring, but seen a really nice ring from Tiffany I want to get (its plain without any stones). I intend to wear it on my other hand (right hand), but do you think it will take the focus off my engagement ring?
I wouldn't mind if I was married, and had a wedding band, but with just an engagement ring, I don't want to take the shine away from it....
I usually think during the engagement stage its nice just to have the engagement ring, and this be the only ring to wear... this is just my opinion, not fact.
...I hope this all makes sense...!lol
What do you guys think!?
Cheers for all your advice

as long as your partner is fine with it then go for it. The one thing you don't want is to upset him trust me it's horrible arguing over anything during the engagement period.

Well you seemed to answer your own question by saying during the engagement stage you only want to wear your engagement ring. If this is how you feel then stick with it. However, I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing a ring on the other hand especially if it has meaning. I did. My boyfriend-at-the-time bought me a ring for my bday while he was home from Iraq and I continued to wear that after we got engaged. Do what feels right to you!!

I'm definitely one of those people who believe less is more because there is nothing worse than a woman dripping in jewellery. However, I think if you really like the ring and it has no stones to take attention away from your engagement ring, get in and wear it on the other hand. As long as you don't have a ring (or 2, I have seen it!) on each finger, it should be fine x

I wear my engagement ring on my left hand and nothing else on that hand. I actually wear a Tiffany ring (not an engagement ring--no diamonds, just silver) on my right hand on my ring finger. It definitely doesn't take away from my engagement ring and I get to wear this ring that I love!

Your choice really, but if it's on the other hand I don't think it would take the shine away from your engagement ring. If you want it and can afford it, then get it.

Its not replacing your engagement ring so I don't see what the problem is, its not even on the same hand. Go for it and enjoy wearing it.

If you like the other ring and are wearing it on a different hand go for it! Plus it has no stones so it will not take away from the ooh-la-la factor!!!
Congrats! ;-)

There's nothing wrong with you buying yourself another ring and wearing it on the other hand.

If the ring is on the other hand who cares? Sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands (and jewellry) to be honest. Its not important. Worry about more important things than expensive bling. Why don't you give a percentage of the money you are going to spend on a Tiffany ring to charity? I'm sure a starving child would love a meal or two.
