a few months ago we bought a ford fiesta from a car sales lot. all was ok but then we had to have a new battery fitted. after it was fitted we realised we didnt know the code for the radio so now everytime we switch it on it just says 'code'. have tried contacting a previous owner but had no reply. the car sales people have moved and we have nothing in any of our paperwork.
is there anywhere we can contact to track down the code?

Had a similar problem when I had the engine replaced in my Nissan. When I phoned the nearest Nissan garage they told me that they could get the code but I think it cost about £30. If you think the radio is the original one you might consider talking to a Ford garage and see if they can help. Just make sure you have the chassis number and/or the log book or some other proof that the car and radio are yours.

Any ford dealer should be able to get the code for your carif it is the original one from manufactor. The code is related to the engine number/registration number for that particular car car.
We had to pay£15 for it about 4 years ago.

Contact your nearest Ford dealer but be prepared, you will have to pay a fee to retrieve the code!

Get hold of a Ford dealer or get in touch with the Ford factory, they will have the information.
