I'm 21 and he is 37... Is he too old for me to date with?

If it feels right, go for it.

My only word of caution would be that he might be thinking about settling down soon and if this is the case you need to know that you are ready for that. Are you at 21? If this is what he wants and you not ready you have to be straight with him. Don't settle down if you aren't ready.

Enjoy your dating!

Don't see any reason why not, providing you both want the same things from life at the same time!

You may have a few probs if you want to go out clubbin' it and largin' it every weekend and he wants to do restaurants and dinner parties, but this can happen with partners of the same age too.

Oh, and if you're really attractive and he's rich, then he may get a bit anxious about you having a fling. I saw that on TV once so it must be true.

Do you like the same things and have the same interests? Are you both open about what you expect out of this relationship? He may be looking for a long term partner as he is older. Have a chat and air any worries that you may have to him and see how he reacts. Age shouldn't matter if the feelings are right. Good luck x x

You are 21, you are an adult. Date anyone you like, who is also an adult.

If he was 73, I might say "eww" but 37 is fine.

as it happens we just grew apart, i wanted to go out partying and he wanted to stay in with a bottle of wine and a dvd. he din't want to ty anything new and we never had any.... ahem.... fun in p[laces we could have been (were) caught after a while. so i ended it, but on gd terms. we're still very close and meet up every few weeks or so for a drink or a meal or whatever.
he's a lovely guy and i did love him.
if yu love him and he loves you, ther's no problem.

What do you believe is too old? Just his age? If the both of you click then who cares. Most of my relationships have been older then me and have been great relationships. the one relationship I dated who was 1 year younger than me, we married and now we are divorced.
I am now with a man who is, 8 years older. This is the one I should of married!

No dear. The older he is, the more mature and experienced he is! Personally, I would prefer dating a guy who is 8 years older than me, as he is much more mature and can help me with things I can't handle.
If your friends do not like him because 'he's too old for you'- they'll say, just tell them to mind their own business as this is your choice not theirs! It's you who gonna go out with this guy not them, then why worry for you!!

Age is just a number. You are 2l and adult, he is 37 and adult - go for it! You will soon find out whether you are compatible or not, until then just have a good time with him and see how it goes.

Yes your 20's are your fun years. He's already been there down that. You going to want have fun and he's going to want you to stay with him all the time. You need to find some your age. You need to have right now and he's just going to bring you down go have some fun and forget about him. When your in your thirty's then go out with some on that much older then you. Because right now he's just going to suck the youth out of you.
