Your premium depends on many different factors.

1. Your age.
2. Where you live/got coverage.
3. Your coverage.

Here is an expample of individual coverage in CT through Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield:

Couple, Age 40-44 - $589.49/month. This is for a $20/30 Office Visit copay, $150 ER copay, $1500 Hospital deductible, and $10/25/40 Rx with an annual Rx max of $2000.

Same couple with a $2500 deductible - All services except preventive care aply tho the deductible - $ $343.

Couple, Age 29 - $$529.72 or $$304.54.

There is a big difference when age is a factor, and even bigger when the plan design changes significantly.

Consult your agent and ask them to do a review of available plans in your area and you decide if what you're paying is worth the $$$$$.

YES it is alot of money especially if you don't use all the services but it's reality. I had Blue Cross and mine was $695.00 a month, I changed to Independent Health which runs about $250.00 a month.

Sounds reasonable for a couple to pay about $375/month.

It all depends...

On the ages of the people involved.
On the health issues of the people involved.
On the plan type, deductible, and copay amounts.
On where you live.
On... are you seeing a trend?

That's less than $400 a month - not a bad deal.
