I got 2 single seats (not together) for The Police at Fenway Park Boston, MA during an online presale for Best Buy Rewards members. The next day I checked ticket availability for my office mate and was able to get 2 seats together on my ticketmaster account with my office mates credit card. I want to give her the seperate seats and take the two together because my wife would most probably not go with seperate seating. My office mate would not be going if not for my help. I should have demanded it right then but did not. This is a very hot ticket... What would you say or do?

The tickets will be mailed to my door no later than 48 hours before the date. My first inclination is that the office mate should get the tickets together but I feel that if my wife knew she'd be suspicious of my motives and even hurt that I'm not doing all I can to get her to the show. There's no reason for suspicion but the whole thing is a bit wierd and off color.

Sounds to me like you did all the work in getting the tickets. I think you should have the two seats together. And he should be happy to be going to the concert in any seats available.

Yours is as a difficult situation... Technically those seats together are your office mates... You purchased yours and was aware at that time that they were not together...it was OK when thought they were all you could get ...you were going to some how get your wife to accept those separate seating arrangements right??? Nothings changed really..

Here's some scenarios that you could work through...

1) Have a heart to heart with the coworker and ask if they might be willing to swap tickets with you.
2) Offer to purchase the coworkers tickets and sell yours and give a few extra bucks ( or a nice dinner certificate)to the coworker for being such a good sport.
3) Give your coworker their rightful tickets .... and sell your current ones and buy some more tickets together from eBay/scalper/broker/whatever.... It will cost you bucks but you will not look like a heel to your wife or coworker.
4) Sell your seats and swear "the next time the POLICE play Fenway I am there"
5)Sell your tickets and purchase seats for another location/date on the tour .. make it along romantic weekend with your wife!

Just don't try to to fool or bully your coworker. It would be a low move and you don't sound like a man that would stoop that low to get your way.
Good luck !

I don't see how they're yours - yes - you got them for her - but it was her credit card.

They weren't a gift for her therefore, I don't see how you can just ask for them.

Thats like giving her a lottery ticket that wins 10,000 dollars and then saying its rightfully yours since you technically gave her the ticket....actually thats different..you would have bought it wiht ur own m oney...this time, it was her own credit card.

I'm assuming you've already given her the tickets / haven't asked her yet for them. Thats really rude and silly to go back after and "demand" them.

You are entitled to the seats together, just tell the office mate you are sorry but the seats you got her a separate, and if she has a problem with it maybe you will have to get a refund.(can you do that?)
