"An international driver's license must be obtained from your home country. This permit only verifies that you hold a valid license in your home country. It is your foreign driver's license that allows you to drive in the United States. Contact the authorities in your home country to get an international driving permit, as the United States does NOT issue international driver's licenses to foreign visitors."

You will want to carry both your actual license and the IDP to ensure you will have no trouble with the police should you get stopped and asked to produce identification and proof of licensure.

Your nationality has no longer something to do along with your drivers license. The question is even if you license is (nonetheless) valid. There are some subject matters. a million. you state it truly is expired, hence unlawful to emphasise *everywhere* 2. maximum international locations desire you to have had the license a minimum of for x years (determination 2 years up)
