You could ask the water department for their latest test. All tap water is nasty with chemicals, leaching pipes, etc., and IS recycled poop water. This was on Oprah recently. Water is treated with loads of sanitizers, bleaches, and antimicrobials. I drink only bottled spring water or steam distilled. If a bottled water is labeled as "pure" or "enhanced" its nothing more than chlorinated tap water.
