Perming or relaxing hair changes the chemical make-up of hair. There is no way to "shampoo it out". There is no way to get rid of it other than to cut off the permed or relaxed hair. If she wants to go from curly to straight or vice versa, the only way to do that is with a chemical that will change the hair again. This can be dangerous though, because certain hair chemicals don't mix - without getting too technical on you, you can pretty much accidentally create the affect of Nair with two types of hair chemicals if they have both been used on the hair. Tell her if this is the route she is choosing to go down, to make sure she knows exactly what type of chemical was used the first time and to go to a haircare professional to see if her hair is in good enough shape to do it.

How does it get removed ??? Scissors

You can tell your friend to let it grow out and gradually trim the ends during salon visits... or do a big chop and take it all the way down at once.

Nothing can make permed/relaxed/chemical treated hair go back to the way it was prior to the procedure.

The only way to get rid of the relaxer is to let your hair grow out and cut the relaxed hair. There is no special shampoo that removes the chemicals in relaxer.

They are damaging because of the ingredients found in them. They chemicay break down the protein bonds in your natura hair texture (which is a severe form of damage). Relaxed/permed hair IS damaged hair. You an prevent SOME damage by doing weekly hot oil treatments and protein treatments, however the results are irreversible. I wouldn't do it if I were you.

depends on the person, like for me theres no way it can go away, it just wears off. quicker wen i get it wet. but shampoo cant just take it oout. it would probably just make the process quicker.

it really just speeds up the process. and sometimes that might not work. it depends on the hair type.
