a DATE is dinner / movie. Dating is the beginning of a relationship, when you see eachother more and more, which, if all goes well, leads to relationships.

Dating is when you are trying to find someone special to have a relationship with that goes deeper with emotion than friendship..Yes physical things are a part of a relationship but not solely based on that...Emotions grow over time for someone,so don't let a kiss lead you to believe they are wanting a relationship of any depth, its merely an expression of passion, which could indicate they want just a physical relationship..An understanding of mutual desires must be met in the beginning of a relationship so both parties understand where the other one is wanting to go with it all..good luck!

You can date someone and make out with them, still it may not be a relationship.

The difference is when you commit to that person.
