If you give something up for lent, can you have it on Sunday?

Lent is counted as 40 days not counting the Sundays.
Still, those Sundays are within Lent. This is really a matter of personal commitment. You need to decide to what degree you want to fulfill your vow of abstinence or fasting.

I would suppose that you could have it any time you wanted. I have given up jumping off of tall buildings.

personally, I don't follow that, I go straight through until Easter.
