calculate your cutting to make efficient use of the waste.. a four foot piece of timber isnt neccesarily scrap.... not if you also need a bit 3 feet 6inches...

im a steel fabricator by trade, and metal or wood, we arent there to generate scrap! measure the whole job, divvy it up into it component sizes and then sit down with a cup of tea and do some sums...
