It appears that Jesus was actually married, and that He was just a man, after all....

Everything is changing now. Everything that I had faith in is now gone... I don't know where to turn now. Any suggestions to alternatives to the Abrahamic religions?

Is it possible that the atheists have been right all along?

Scholars criticize new Jesus documentary: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2007-02-26-jesus-documentary_x.htm?csp=34

No serious archaeologist, theologian, or everyday Christian will take this 'new' discovery (that is over 10 years old) seriously.

Basic Christian doctrine teaches that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead and later rose to heaven. No bones would be left behind.

People have been trying to undermine Christianity since its beginning with theories like someone other than Jesus died on the cross. None of these attacks have been ever been even partially successful.

With love in Christ.

I'm not going to gloat here, because if I did it would be arrogant, but I DO have to say that all the philosophy and conclusions all those years of MY studies, IF the whole "Lost Tomb" thing is NOT forged, were correct and all the Buddhist stuff I'm studying is more logical than it ever was before.

If all this stuff has not been a hoax, the fetters of all the various dogmatic things I'd been told to accept on faith (and refused) as a kid have totally fallen off. This has HUGE political and religious consequences too... no longer will people get away with using religion to take away the rights of others based on fake dogma, made up to control the masses. People won't be able to stick their heads in the sand anymore.

What makes me feel rather happy is that all the logical conclusions all my studies have led to, (i.e. Jesus was a MAN and a darn compassionate teacher) is correct. We shall see. In the meantime... keep doing your research, have patience, the truth will come out in the wash... if you want to take a peek at Buddhism and it works for you too, then more's the merrier.

Although, I can tell by your post that you are just being sarcastic......but to show how stupid the people are who are portraying these lies , this tomb was found in 1980.
Don't you think if they wanted to let people know that Jesus " was just a man and married too" that they would have told us before 27 years passed?

Gimme a break

These people are liars and false teachers, there is a price to be paid for false teachings

The thing the churches fear even more than people possibly finding out Jesus was not resurrected, was married or had a child was that the documentary may actually lead to people thinking.

But based on people's answers here, I really don't think they have much to worry about.

expensive, My humble advice is "by no potential recover from excited with what you notice or hear" we are matured beings and we could desire to have our very own self judgements. people who leap into conclusions or judgements by way of potential of watching a action picture or seeing and incident by no potential stay sturdy on any element. Be stearn and upright expensive. If some one stated, they have seen the tomb of Jesus, there's no could desire to unexpectedly substitute your thought device. i'm hoping, thinking that Jesus could have his tomb interior the earth, did not make you think in Him, yet, by potential of the sturdy concepts he taught and practised. (enable there, has been someone lived whose call replaced into Jesus, or a guy by no potential lived with that call shouldn't rely.) it somewhat is often extra advantageous to learn, what this way of narrative of someone brings to the society as an entire. i will say proudly that no different faith or cult or sect did dissimilar benevolent deeds like Christians do international, quite interior the sphere of guidance and looking out after the orphens and the unwell. And, it extremely is one rationalization why i in my view have faith in Jesus and His faith. I by no potential have faith in Him in simple terms because of fact there sre thoughts approximately Him interior the Bible, yet, because of fact I see that His followers do dissimilar sturdy deeds to the society that neither an athiest nor the rationalist enterprises ought to ever dream of doing. yet, the remarkable determination is yours. could God Bless you. You can't be serious. The evidence for Christs Resurrection is FAR more evident. this "idea" that they found Jesus' tomb, which is an impossibility because there is none, is an old news story from 1980 when it was proved to be false and then thrown away. For whatever strange reasons James Cameron decided to bring this topic back into the limelight and claim it to be plausible. What a joke!

If you allowed this piece of rubbish to change your mind, you were never a believer to begin with. This is a pathetic attempt by those who hate Christ to undermine His work and ministry, and to try to prove He isn't God, really sad. This has less credibility than the DaVinci Code, if that is possible.

Are you serious? Where did you check your facts? There is no proof that Jesus was married. And he WAS a man. Your faith was shaken by a documentary by the same guy who directed Titanic. I doubt you're much of a critical thinker, are you?
