the only "requirement" is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

If " Salvation" means saved from death, and opportunities to repent, then yes, baptism seems not necessary, because Jesus died for the sinners and righteous.

Yet, Salvation mention above does not mean entering the kingdom of God, to enter to the kingdom of God , one has to be baptized as stated in the scriptures by Christ himself.

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
(New Testament | John 3:5)

Those who rejects Baptism shows that they do not understand the scriptures at all.

That saved with the help of water isn't speaking approximately salvation from sin. It even says no longer the putting away of the grime of the flesh. a million Peter 3:21 The like determine whereunto even baptism doth additionally now save us (no longer the putting away of the grime of the flesh, however the respond of a solid ethical experience in the direction of God,) with the help of the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Baptism supplies a solid ethical experience. Many places in scripture talk of trusting in Christ to be saved-NO baptism suggested. Baptism is often a hundred% immersion AFTER a individual gets saved. Jesus Christ replaced into baptized. yet He did no longer must be saved.

If a person was on their way to be baptized and died in a car accident, would they be damned forever? Of course not. His sincere desire to be baptized is as good as the actual baptism. In the catholic Chrch, this is called Baptism of Desire.

This also applies to the theif on the cross. He fully understood that Jesus was God and that if had the chance, he would have been baptized. Unfortunately, like a man who dies in a car accident before he can be baptized, he does not have that opportunity.

Upon the resurrection of Jesus Christ a new covenant was formed between man and God. Under the new covenant, baptism is a sign of faith and belief in Jesus Christ. In addition, Jesus said in Mark 16:16 "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Belief precedes baptism but baptism is a sign of belief. The thief was not baptized because he perished under the hold covenant and consistent with Jesus' teaching in Mark, the thief believed and was therefore saved.

no, in all likelyhood, he was not baptized

you do not have to be baptized in order to be saved... it is thru Faith in Jesus as your savior, confession with your mouth and heart that you fall short of the Glory of God because of your sins, and repentance that you will strive to remain sin-free... and accept Jesus' sacrifice as the gift of Grace that it is! Baptism can mean many things.... some are baptized once they accept Christ as an act of obedience... it is something that you do AFTER you choose Jesus.... an outward expression of an inward change. some are 'baptized by the living water' (Jesus) and accept that as their baptism.. others are baptized by the Holy Spirit, feeling the fire inside as the Holy Spirit enters into our own Spirit....

some 'religions' see only the earthly water dip or sprinkle as true baptism..... while God sees our hearts and knows when we have turned to Him

I think you're 100% correct. AMEN! Baptism is not essential to salvation; they are two entirely different things.

To "BrotherMichael": See Acts 9:18 and 22:16. Paul was baptized.

no, the Roman guards didn't take him down, baptize him, and then put him back on the cross. Baptism is NOT a requirement for salvation, contrary to many pagan beliefs. Catholics, mormons, Pagans, etc. all teach baptism essential to salvation, but that is unscriptural. Baptism is only a sign that you are unashamed of your salvation.

(Infant baptism and/or sprinkling is also unbiblical)

No, baptism isn't a requirement for salvation. It is an outward sign of an inward change. I don't think you will find anything about Paul being baptized either. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

We have no way of knowing. However, Paradise doesn't mean that he was in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus went to preach to the spirits that were in prison after he died on the cross and that is where the man went.
