Yes I could. I have been trained in wine two times in my life. Once by the Olive Garden and before that I was trained at the Melting Pot. There is a major difference in the way it sits on your pallet. You could smell the wine and be able to pick out the red one and the white one. Wine is fun!

Yes, red wine has a body to it and white wine is like thin silk sliding down your tongue. Any wine drinker would know the difference.

yes because the white wines have the skin on the grapes removed, this makes the wine tastes different as-well as clear

Most people obviously say yes, but give them a black glass with a room temperature wine in it and they would have a hard time telling on some of the wines. Sure, there are some that could never be confused, but you'd be surprised at how many people get wrong if they really and truly can't see them.

Could *I* tell the difference? I certainly would hope so, but it would depend on the specific wines and their attributes.

I say yes as someone who drinks red wine regularily and never drinks white.
but
I've never actually tried this test so I cant say for sure.
It would be interesting to know how much sight takes into account how we percieve taste.

Very Good Question.

Yes. If you drink wine, you will know in an instant. Most reds are kept in barrels to age and will pick up the flavor from them. Whites are usually fruity and lighter smelling. Get one of each pour the glasses, hide your eyes and "see" for yourself.

Absolutley...even if you have never tasted wine before, in sampling you would be able to recgonize a difference. You may not know the varietal, or evn if it is red or white, but you would eb able to denote a difference.

No, I really can't stand the taste of wine. Any wine. Sour.

oh yeah

easily!!! red wine is so much more pungent and so much stronger, plus the red grapes have a very very different taste than white ones.
