It's sad that someone said "You can't put a price on love" to justify spending more on a ring.
1. The ring is beautiful and it's certified - which guarantees its quality no matter where it came from.
2. It doesn't matter how much you spend on the wedding ring. It's the love that counts, not the pricetag on the ring! I hate how so many people have turned a beautiful event like a wedding into a competition as to who has the better rock.
My fiancee and I live together, and didn't spend much on rings. We're getting his for around $40 (it's stainless steel) and mine was $400. I wish I could have gotten mine in stainless steel but I didn't know that was an option when I got my ring.
Congratulations on your wedding and don't let anyone bring you down.

Brittany honey, you came on Answers and asked strangers what they thought of your choice. Why do you care if people think it's ugly, cheap or whatever? You are the one who has to wear it. And if you don't tell anyone it came from wal-mart, no one will know (my first engagement ring was from wal-mart, it was nice and only cost $700) I personally think yours is lovely, I like the antique look of it. I happen to have a 2.04 carat Tiffany ring - it's lovely yes, but I wish I could have persuaded my fiance to spend less on it (we'll be paying for it for years to come) and put more into our house, like you are doing. The bottom line is, as long as YOU like the ring, that's all that matters. Congrats and good luck.

It's too "busy" for my tastes, but if you like it, that's all that matters. Congratulations!
PS. Don't listen to the wal mart bashers. I bought the stone in my wife's ring from a pawn shop. I know how to pick a good rock, and I got the exact one I wanted for 1000 bucks. An independent jewelry appraiser told me it was a 4000 dollar stone, so I did good...

Wow, sounds like you are tryin to talk yourself into it! Well, It's pretty, I don't hate it at all. No you don't need a 3 karot ring from Tiffany's, and I'm glad you have your priorities in order. Mine isn't but a half karot myself, but I like not having the debt over my shoulders so I can understand....I just couldn't get over the whole I can pick up my engagement ring and then go buy toilet paper in Tampons in the same trip aspect, sorta killed the romance for me so we went to zales and still didn't pay a fortune, and theirs nothing wrong with that, so don't hate on me either!

I love it, I don't mind all the extra stones and sparkles. I agree, who cares where it's from it's the thought and the emotion behind it that count. You can always upograde a few years down the road if you wish. Congrats!

I totally think it is pretty, and it sure doesn't matter where a ring comes from. However, it's called an engagement ring. The wedding ring/band is the one you will get at the ceremony.

You should buy the stone separate from the band. You'll get a much better overall quality ring. I just bought a ring recently and spent several months researching to get the most bang for my buck. Also, not sure what your budget is, but you'll get the best quality for your money looking outside of Walmart and the mall stores.

Yes, and Keepsake diamonds have been around for a long time so the diamond should be nice. God bless you and your husband to be.
