I have a cd that has a bunch of pictures on it, it will not work on my computer. It says that it is not formatted to work on my computer, and it works fine on my bosses computer just not mine, how do i format it to see my pictures

I have regular windows, and it will not let me view my pictures it says that i have to format my disc, but it works fine on other computers just now mine, help me please.

The only thing that comes to mind is that the disc is a RW (Read\Write) disc that ISN'T "Finalized"

Which is fine *IF* you have a CD Burner drive and NOT just a CD Reader drive.

I'm guessing " the other computers" it works with have CD RW Drives.

*IF* your drive is just a CD reader drive they'l have to "Finalize" the disk in order for your drive to read it.

Did you burn it on a Mac and then try to open on Winodws? Or the other way? Macs and Winodws PCs format differnet, that could be it. Try opening it on the computer you burned it with. If it cant open on the computer you burned it with, email the photos from your bosses computer to yours. Then it will work. STILL, if it does not work, your out of luck!

if you format it, you would loose all of your data ,pictures

wait........

tell which version of operating system you are using?

is it xp vista or linux??
