They broke into those tombs without permission and without the presence of a rabbi. Out of the entire show on Discovery last night, that's what really bothered me. I have no stake in the outcome of whether the burial place of Jesus was found, but I do believe that desecrating tombs is wrong.

No. Thats what archaeologists do. I imagine he wouldn't try to get into one without at least some help beacuse he could destroy whats inside if there isn't anyone helping. Just because you didn't see scientists involved doesn't mean there wasn't.

I may be wrong but all those tombs had previously been entered and seen. One had been covered over to protect children but they did have the permission of the owners of the property.

Yes, out of respect for the dead this should not have happened. Some do whatever they want today and do not observe the old-time traditions. It is a shame. bettyk

I highly doubt the dead people whose remains were not even in the tomb would mind.

hence they cant be prosecuted
