Help with boyfriends woes...?

Ok, I've been dating this guy for several months now so it's exculsive and fairly serious. I was involved in a car accident this week and all of a sudden he's acting stand-offish. What is going on? Does he need "space"?

He should offer you his deepest sympathy, not act funny. I'd dump him. Hell no, he doesn't need space! Don't blame yourself for his behavior.

It may just be that he doesn't know how to deal with something like this. I would think if he was really feeling the relationship and serious about there that he would be there for you 100% in your time of need. I would question his intentions...
