I thought that it was a BS

RN is Registered Nurse, It does not matter you can have an Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree or a PhD all in Nursing.

RN = Registered Nurse

LPN = Licensed Practical Nurse

And RN usually has his or her 4-year Bachelor's degree in nursing.

RN's in the US may have an associates degree, there are still a few 3-year programs, or they may have a BSN (or more), but they all have to pass the same board exams.

2 year degree is AS in nursing which I currently hold

4 year degree is BS which I'm currently studying for
